Neil is the Founder & CEO of Thyngs which transform ordinary objects into extraordinary commerce experiences using just a tap of a smartphone. He was previously Founder & CEO of Proxama plc, which became a global leader in mobile wallets (before the launch of Apple Pay) and mobile proximity marketing (using NFC and Bluetooth Beacons). Before that, he was a Board Director of Consult Hyperion, a specialist digital commerce consultancy. He’s been really fortunate to be involved in creating & shaping globally disruptive innovations like mobile contactless payments, proximity marketing and mobile wallets from the very early concepts, through technology development to the current level of market maturity, working closely with many large global brands. He has always been guided by a strong belief that the real world and digital world can be better connected via smartphones, with simple, easy to use technologies like NFC enabling mass-market adoption of omni channel commerce through awesome experiences.
