Richard Davies joined Revolut in July 2019 as COO, and leads a range of transformation work across the group, alongside leading the group's move towards developing authorised banking operations in key target geographies. 

Prior roles include:

Commercial Banking Director at TSB – Executive Committee position, leading development of TSB's commercial banking activities.

Global Head of Propositions / Digital - SME Banking at HSBC focused on driving strategic change for clients, with a design led focus on digital innovation and client experience.

Chief Operating Officer for HSBC's UK Commercial Bank, responsible for a wide range of areas including lending products, business and regulatory change, client on-boarding and digital transformation.  

First CEO of challenger bank OakNorth, leading the process to design the business model, develop regulatory licence submissions, and recruit the team to enter the UK market.

Richard has a MA Economics and M.Phil Development Economics from Trinity Hall Cambridge.
