In our exciting, energy-packed Payments Dragons' Den we invited four up-and-coming companies to showcase their financial services products and programmes, set to revolutionise how people move, manage and spend their money.
With only 5 minutes to pitch their product, this fast-paced section saw each of the pitchers put through their paces by our five expert Dragons with questions aiming to tease out any faults in products and business plans.

After an audience vote and careful consideration from our dragons, Garrett Cassidy, Co-Founder & CEO of Trezeo, was crowned our Payments Dragons’ Den winner. We spoke with Garrett afterwards to learn more about his innovative company and what the future might hold.
Could you share with us why Trezeo joined the Payments Dragons’ Den?
We joined Payments Dragons Den to get the opportunity to pitch the Dragons, get the benefit of their insights and raise awareness of Trezeo across the PayExpo community
How did you come by the idea for Trezeo, what was the main pain point?
We came up with the idea while researching the financial challenges of being a self-employed gig economy worker. A key pain point for these people is the potentially crippling uncertainty and volatility of income. This is made worse by a lack of suitable financial products to help address these issues in an accessible and affordable way.
What’s next on the horizon for Trezeo?
We will be launching a pilot with initial customers in the next month, continuing our consumer credit authorisation process with the FCA and raising seed funding to support our launch in 2018.
